Spring Valley State Park Campground Nevada

Spring Valley State Park Overview

Spring Valley State Park has 2 campgrounds with a total of 46 campsites (24 with power hookups) near Eagle Valley Reservoir in eastern Nevada.

Horsethief Gulch Campground is just west of the reservoir and near the dam. It has 39 spacious campsites (24 with power hookups: 1-14 and 30-39). Each site also has a covered table (with cement pad), fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, restrooms with flush toilets and showers and trash collection.

Ranch Campground has 7 campsites and is nestled in a beautiful canyon with light-gray, pink and white cliffs. It’s also near the ranger station and Meadow Valley Wash. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Each site also has a parking spur, covered table (with cement pad), tent pad, fire ring and grill.

Other park amenities include a dump station, boat launch (south shore), dock, boat slips, picnic/day-use area, a reservable group picnic area, hiking tails and a ranger station. Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, ATV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Stargazing is also great in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Beaver Dam State Park, Meadow Valley (BLM), Echo Canyon State Park and Cathedral Gorge State Park.
