White Rock Mountain Recreation Area Campground Ozark-St. Francis National Forests Arkansas

White Rock Mountain Recreation Area Overview

White Rock Mountain Recreation Area has 13 campsites and 3 natural (historic) stone cabins set in a heavily forested area near the iconic White Rock Mountain (2,260 feet).  A lodge and group campsite is also available.

Campsites are best suited for tents but small RVs will work. Each site has a parking spur (up to 20 feet), tent pad, lantern post, table, fire ring and grill.  All three cabins can be rented year round and feature stone fireplaces and original furniture. The group site can accommodate up to 10 guests and the lodge up to 30 people.

The lodge and cabins have electricity and running water. All units are equipped with bathrooms and a full kitchen. Each kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, crock pot, dishes, cooking utensils, and cooking pots and pans. The furnishings feature new, antique, and original CCC furnishings. Each building also has a large private patio with a charcoal grill and fire pit. There is no air conditioning; the stone lodge and cabins stay cool in the summer months. Heat is provided by wood burning stoves during the winter and firewood is provided. Linens, towels and bedding are not provided.

Campground amenities include a camp store, drinking water, vault toilets (flush toilets and showers in cabins/lodge) and trash collection. There’s also a picnic / day use area. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host or at the store. Cell service is good in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Shores Lake, Redding Campground and Aux Arc.
