Castle Rock (BLM) Overview

Castle Rock Campground 001

Castle Rock Campground has 6 campsites next to the beautiful Crooked River and along the Lower Crooked Back Country Byway. The campground is open year-round and campsites are first-come, first serve.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include a vault toilet and trash receptacles.  Cell service is not available in the area.

Castle Rock Campground is one of several BLM campgrounds along the Crooked Wild and Scenic River. You might also like Stillwater, Lone Pine, Palisades, Chimney Rock, Cobble Rock, Post Pile, Poison Butte or Big Bend campgrounds.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
