Prairie Campground Deschutes National Forest Oregon

Prairie Overview

Prairie Campground has 17 spacious campsites set among towering trees on a bluff overlooking Paulina Creek. Most sites have some shade.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). The campground and parking spurs are gravel. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is good in the area.

Prairie Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

The peaceful area is a great place to relax and enjoy Deschutes National Forest.  Activities include hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include McKay Crossing, Big River, Ogden Group and Paulina Lake.
