Slate Creek Campground Wyoming

Slate Creek Overview

Slate Creek 013

Slate Creek Campground (BLM) has 14 single-family campsites and is located next to the Green River a few miles down stream from Fontenelle Reservoir.  All campsites are first-come first-serve and free.

The spacious campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include 2 ADA vault toilets and trash collection. All camp roads and parking spurs are dirt. Picnic areas are also near the campground. Cell service is poor in the area.

Slate Creek Campground – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Alta, Slate Creek and Painted Rocks State Park. If you’re heading north you may also like Warren Bridge Campground (BLM).
