House Rock Overview

House Rock Campground 015 Camping Area

House Rock Campground has 16 campsites set in an old growth grove next to the confluence of Sheep Creek and and the South Santiam River.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water (hand pump), 2 vault toilets and trash collection. Camp roads and parking spurs are gravel. Parking spurs range in size from 21 to 65 feet.  Cell service is not available in the area.

Other nearby campgrounds include Sevenmile, Yukwah and Trout Creek.

Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, kayaking, swimming, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. In addition to the House Rock Trail, hikers have access to a variety of other trails in the Tombstone Pass Area, like the Iron Mountain Trail.
