Pine Valley Equestrain Campground Dixie National Forest Utah

Pine Valley Equestrain Overview

Pine Valley Equestrian Campground has 19 large campsites and is about 3/4 of a mile from Pine Valley Reservoir. The campground offers great views of the Pine Valley Mountains and the campsites are set among ponderosa pine, pinyon and juniper.

There are 11 single-family campsites, 4 double sites, 2 (single) tent only sites, 1 (double) tent only site and 1 multi-use site. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilet. Trash services are not provided (please pack garbage out). Cell service is poor in the area.

Each campsite also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. There is also 1 large four-way corral, and four smaller corrals near campsites 1, 2, 3, 11, 13 and 14. The nearest dump station is 5 miles southwest on Highway 18.

Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation includes horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing. There are near by trails in the  Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness including: Equestrian Trail, Forsyth Canyon Trail, Browns Trail, Whipple, Pine Valley Cannal Trail, and the Santa Clara River Trail. Fishing in the Santa Clara River and in nearby Pine Valley Reservoir.

Other Pine Valley Recreation Area campgrounds include Crackfoot, Dean Gardner, Ebenezer Bryce, Yellow Pine and Effie Beckstrom (Group). You might also like Mitt Moody Campground.
