McCarthy Beach State Park Overview

McCarthy Beach State Park has two campgrounds (Beatrice Lake and Side Lake) that have a total of 89 single-family campsites. There are also equestrian campsites at Stony Brook Horse Camp.

Beatrice Lake Campground has 30 single-family campsites next to Beatrice Lake. Slide Lake campground has 59 campsites (21 with electric hookups) and located next to Slide Lake. Both campgrounds have drinking water, flush toilets and showers. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. A dump station is also available for RV sanitation waste.

McCarthy Beach State Park – Area Recreation

The park  has several lakes where visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor recreation activities including boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The park also has 18 miles of trails for snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.  Snowmobiling is also popular.
