One Comment on “Hamaker”

  1. This is my favorite camp site in the Crater Lake Area. Been here many times. Rogue River flows through for fishing, its also a stocking point for the hatchery. Watched someone catch a family of fours dinner here one night.

An absolute ‘freeway’ for deer in the evening. Also used a low intensity flood over the Rouge to gimps bats feeding on bugs then used a handheld Spot light for a good look at them. Also lit up Deer on the other side of the Rouge with the spot and in the adjacent campsite. Nighttime is the fun time here!

RV’s can fit but you’ll have to go to the RV Wash when you leave. Gravel from the time you leave the main road. You may scratch paint on a narrow turn half way through the campsite loop. SO tight fit for RV’s at this site!

The old-growth forest here is an absolute jewel! I mean Tranquil and then Energizing. Located well off the ‘beaten path’, this is a perfectly isolated campsite situated for some of the best peace, quiet and ‘Eye Candy’ for the area.

    Thanks for listening! Brian
