One Comment on “Split Rock Creek State Park”

  1. Overall the campground is nice. The tent only sites are set apart in a separate section so you are a little more isolated from anyone using a generator. The whole campground is right along the lake with multiple docks and a swimming beach nearby.

Unfortunately there are railroad tracks and a town less than a mile away, so you’ll hear train horns. All night. I stayed in site F for two nights and had trains going by every 2-3 hours both nights I was there. Earplugs did NOT help in any way. If you’re in an RV and can run a white noise machine all night, it might be okay, but I would not recommend tent camping here.
